►Postdoctoral Positions The Galaxy and Cosmology Research Center at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) is seeking to fill a number of postdoctoral positions in the research fields of cosmology, galaxy formation, active galactic nuclei, black hole accretion disks, and high energy astrophysics. The staff members at SHAO working in these fields include Xinwu Cao, Jinliang Hou, Yipeng Jing, Zhiqiang Shen, Xiaohu Yang, Wenfei Yu, Feng Yuan, and Pengjie Zhang. In addition, the Center has 13 postdocs (including 7 joint MPA/SHAO postdocs) and about 30 PhD students. The postdoctoral fellowships are intended for active young researchers of all nationality. The appointment is awarded for two years initially and extendable for up to five years. The salary depends on qualification and experience, and will be highly competitive relative to the local standard. SHAO is located in downtown of Shanghai, one of the most rapidly evolving and active cities in Asia.
