Abstract:

I will review recent progress on testing fundamental theories with cosmological observations. I will first overview the observational methods, including weak lensing, galaxy clustering and cosmic microwave background anisotropies. I will then discuss how these can be used to test models of the early universe, elucidate the nature of dark matter and dark energy, and determine future evolution of the universe. I will finish discussing the observational prospects for the future, including some new approaches to measuring the dark energy properties.
